Swolemates means forging friendships through sports. Our name is inspired by the fitness slang “swole” (fit), the word “mate” (friend), and a playful twist on “soulmates” (kindred).

Our logo, a fist bump, stands for respect, camaraderie, equality, gratitude and sportsmanship. It is also a universal gesture recognised across every sport, culture, and background.

At Swolemates, sport is never about fame, medals, aesthetics, or elitism. It’s about the friendships formed and the laughter shared. It’s about enjoying the game, empowering the disadvantaged, and embracing recreational players.

It is a playful, tongue-in-cheek concept that brings a lighter, more social side to gym culture; making it more fun, approachable, and inclusive for everyone.

We all start with lack of (something) - lack of resources, lack of opportunities, lack of skill, and/or lack of confidence. That’s why, when we reach a position where we have more, we choose to give back.

We empower children with limited resources, people with disabilities, women in male-dominated sports (and vice versa).
